India Post is a government-operated postal system in India.  it is the most widely spread out postal system in the world. It is part of the Ministry of Communications of the Government. Official site of Indian Post is www.indiapost.gov.in.

                  

Their works involves delivering mails, manage Small Savings Schemes, provide Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) and providing other services like bill collection, forms sale, etc. The DoP also do other services for citizens such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) wage disbursement and old age pension payments. There are 1,55,015 Post Offices, making  DoP the most widely spread out postal network in the world.

India has been divided into 23 postal circles, each circle is headed by a Chief Postmaster General. Each circle is divided into regions, which is headed by a Postmaster General and involved field units known as Divisions. These divisions are further diversified into subdivisions. In addition to the given 23 circles, there is a base circle to provide postal services to the Armed Forces of India headed by Director General.
